Her hands fisted and her teeth clenched, a tear rolled down her cheek. This wasn't right, how could she just give up? She could move undetected, she'd done it but she wasn't getting any better! The ranger sat in a tree, overlooking a town to the west and the fields to the east as the sun began to set, the birds squawking in the distance. He lit up a match and began burning the tobacco in his wooden pipe. He had just made a fresh batch of the sweet-smelling tobacco he always used. He breathed in, his pipe in his mouth before he lazily reached up to hold it and exhaled a puff of smoke slowly.
It stayed quiet for a few minutes, him smoking his pipe lazily, before
